Seachtain na hEolaíochta/National Science Week
To celebrate national science week we discussed plants and what they need to grow. We learnt a poem about this. We then put some blue and red food colouring into water to give to the different white flowers. Our prediction is that the white petals will change colour to prove that they drank the water but we will have to wait so we will leave them over the weekend and further investigate this on Monday.
The pupils also had great fun investigating floating and sinking. We discovered that various items from our classroom float or sank depending on their weight and the material they were made from.
