Big congratulations to our Rang 7 pupil Joe for his fantastic efforts with reading this year. From the start of term, Joe has read almost 1,500,000 words in our Accelerated Reader scheme, becoming our latest AR Word Millionaire! Joe was awarded this special certificate at this week’s assembly. Maith thú féin a chara.
Altogether, from the start of this school year, our pupils from R4 to R7 have read a combined total of 4,532,042 words, completing over 600 quizzes on the books in our Accelerated Reader scheme! That is an incredible statistic. Maith sibh gach duine! As Roald Dahl himself said, “If you are going to get anywhere in life you have to read a lot of books.” We hope all of our pupils will continue with their great reading over the Christmas break.
