Bhí maidin ghalánta againn inniu i nDún Éigse le Feis Filíochta na Scoile. Bhí muid chomh bródúil as gach páiste a sheas ar an ardán go cróga chun a gcuid dánta a rá os comhair an lucht féachána. Bhí caighdeán an-ard ann agus bhí sé iontach deacair do na moltóirí buaiteoirí a roghnú. Gabhaimid buíochas mór le muintir Dhún Éigse as ligean dúinn a halla galánta a úsáid, agus buíochas mór ó chroí le cara mór na scoile, Gobharnóir dár gcuid agus an tOifigeach Forbartha Gaeilge sa cheantar, Emer Ní Aodhagáin, as moltóireacht a dhéanamh ar an lá. We had a lovely morning in The Lodge today at our School Poetry Festival. We were so proud of every child who bravely stood on the platform to recite their poems in front of the audience. The standard was very high and it was incredibly difficult for the judges to choose winners. We would like to thank our friends at the Lodge for the use of their lovely hall, and heartfelt thanks also to friend and Governor of the school, and also the Irish Language Development Officer for the area, Emer O'Hagan, for kindly giving us her time to adjudicate the recitals. Congratulations to everyone who took part, and well done to everyone who won a medal on the day. Special congratulations to Naoise from Rang 6 who won best overall recital.
