Every Christmas, our school parents show extreme kindness and generosity towards our teachers and supoort staff by sending in gifts and cards.
Whilst these are always so gratefully appreciated, we want to express how unexpected and unnecessary these gestures are, and with the current climate of Covid 19 and the tremendous pressure many families are under, we ask that gifts are not sent in to school this Christmas.
Instead, what we love most is to receive a lovely card with a personal message written inside. However, if you still feel you would like to make a gesture this Christmas, we suggest you can do one of two things.
MyMy, the local mental health charity, are currently holding a new toy appeal to help ensure every child has a new present to open this Christmas, and we would be delighted if families contributed to this, rather than buying gifts for staff.
Alternatively, our school has not been able to hold any of our usual fundraising events this year, such as our annual sponsored walk in September, or our Halloween or Christmas shows, therefore if you wish, we would greatly appreciate any anonymous donations towards school funds.
