Bréagáin
As part of our topic 'bréagáin/toys' we are focusing on toys from the past this week.
In relation to this we had a special visitor in Rang 1 today from the Downpatrick iarsmalann/museum.
Linda McKenna brought along a wide range of toys from long ago for the pupils to explore.
She explained the reason for the use of different materials in certain toys depending on what materials were available at that time and affordability for different classes. We discussed the differences and similarities in today's more modern toys and she was very impressed with the questions that the pupils asked!
