Rang a Sé have completed great work recently, exploring the properties of 3D shapes and their corresponding nets. They created 3D shapes, thinking carefully about the amount of faces, vertices and edges that each shape has. Today we worked in small groups with the children from Rang 7 to explore the different nets of a cube. Did you know that there are 11 different ways that a cube can be created? The children in both classes worked very well together to determine whether the images shown were or weren't true nets of a cube and they eventually found all 11 nets. Great reasoning skills were on display! Maith iad!
